W. F. (Bill) Brothers is a personal trainer, certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), with additional NASM certifications as a Senior Fitness Specialist (SFS) and a Women's Fitness Specialist (WFS).  Bill has also completed the SEAS Level 1 Scoliosis Accreditation Program offered by ISICO.

With a BS in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University, Bill spent over 30 years in the refining and petrochemical industry. Following multiple cyclical layoffs, he entered the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Jefferson Community College, where he received an AAS degree with high distinction.  Between 2006 and 2016, Bill worked as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in hospitals, sub-acute rehab, nursing homes, and outpatient clinics, under the appropriate supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Bill is a life-long fitness enthusiast who has remained active despite challenges including Crohn’s disease, knee meniscus repairs, foot surgery, a radical nephrectomy, and total replacement of both shoulders. Between 2012 and 2018, Bill cycled an average of 2,700 miles a year, logging a total of over 16,000 road miles.

Bill formed FIT SENSE, LLC in December 2014 to offer sensible fitness programs to mature adults and others with specific needs, and has established a nine-year history of helping this unique population improve their quality of life.
